Partial Aggregate
Short Description
Partial Aggregate applies aggregation to as many rows as possible to avoid spill. It is used in parallel plans.
Detailed Description​
To avoid spilling to disc and therefore slowing the query down, Partial Aggregate operates on as many rows as it can and still avoiding writing to disc. It is used in parallel plans and can be found being used by a Hash Match.
